We are a South African Inspired Café in the heart of Poundbury. Our fresh food is ethically sourced, and we aim to use local supply for ingredients. We offer all-day breakfast, lunch, vegan and vegetarian options.

New Ownership

Kirsten, the new owner, a South African herself, takes over Fables and Food with a strong background Law. Trained by the previous owners, Kirsten aims to take Fables and Food even higher while staying true to the Café the community has come to love.

We are Open

And so it began. The opening of Fables and Food Poundbury. Started by two passionate South African ladies Francel and Natasha. The aim was to create a café where the local community could come in and relax. With a menu that caters for all, not forgetting food from their South African roots.
